Sunday School Crafts

Working on Sunday School Crafts! Needed a "Get Well" Flower for the kids to make and so I used what I had around the house to make up an idea for them. I used paper rolls to make flowers...here's a photo of how it turned out!
The kids can decorate them more and we have different color painted flowers! Hope they like them!

I did a Layout...Wow! :)

Wow, I did a layout today...amazing, huh? I hope to get into doing them more often but it's so hard to take the time to play around when I've got so much other stuff to do....you know how it goes don't ya? You've got to make time to eat Chocolate and those kind of important things too! :)

I'm been busy on my other blog "Savannah Shape Up Sisters" and I love it, but I do think this blog isn't being updated too much...what kind of crazy person has 2 blogs anyway...hee hee :)

Hope everyone is having a great day!

My next project...

For Christmas, I am going to pick out 25 pictures from my 365 Scrapbook and make a mini scrapbook of my children's year into these little books for the grandmothers. I think I'll add cute quotes to go along with the pictures. I hope it'll turn out cute!

A more finished look...

I have no idea who might like to have these (maybe a cute teacher's gift idea)...but I finished making the coasters today!

Coasters!

Trying to make some homemade coasters today!

You can get tiles from Home depot to do this craft project.

You'll also need:

napkins
mod podge
cork board
acrylic sealer
glue gun
sponge brush

To make them:
Cover the tile with a layer of Mod Podge.
Lay the napkin on top of the mod podge then apply another coat on top of the napkin.
Let it dry.
Cut the cork into square pieces that are a little smaller than the tile.
You can use a glue gun to add the cork to the bottom of the tile.
Spray the tops of the tiles with acrylic sealer so the coasters can get wet.

More Christmas Crafts!

Here's a homemade nativity my kids made with me...turned out pretty cute! It's a good craft to do with kids to help remind them the true reason we celebrate Christmas!

If you want to make one you'll need:

2 little terra cotta pots
1 small terra cotta saucer
wooden round balls
glue gun
fabric

Another idea is to paint wooden letters to make "JOY" ornaments! We just painted letters white and used a glue gun to add them to some simple ornaments. Maybe you could use it as a "bow" to a gift package to add a "homemade" feel to it!

Cute Dresses in Emily's Room!

I found these cute dresses but thought I'd post this because maybe someone might wanta try to make them...it doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to do and I think it's kinda cute...at least my 2 year old likes them! I did paint the "Emily" letters :)
We took the doors off our children's closets because it makes it more fun and easier to grab things! I've had the dresses for a while but just tried to hang them up...what do you think?

Cute Idea!

I saw this cute idea in Good Housekeeping and wanted to share it! I think these ornaments look pretty....I've also heard of people putting sand and little shells inside of clear ornaments which is an easy thing for those of us to do down here by the ocean. My son took some sand from Daytona Beach this Summer....maybe he can make one to remember our trip...or maybe he could make a Tybee one to give to his Great-Grandparents that don't live down by the Beach!

Red & Green Chocolate Popcorn!

Trying to think of some fun Christmas ideas....today we made some Red & Green Chocolate Popcorn...it's so YUMMY...I'm thinking maybe this would be fun to bring to my children's Christmas Parties!

You just need...
white chocolate in Red and Green colors
buttered microwave popcorn

Make popcorn in the microwave according to directions take out kernels which do not pop!!
Place in large bowl ...heat chocolate chips in microwave.. mix in popcorn... stir til well covered and put in refrigerator for a few minutes :)

Craft Show Today

I made a yummy dip today called Savannah Sin!

Moved the Kids books from their bedrooms to the living room bookcase....now I just don't know what to do with all the picture frames that were on the bookcase....hmm. I just don't have enough room to have a place for everything!

Christmas Made in the South

I went to a Craft Show today called "Christmas made in the South" and saw some neat ideas for Craft things I'd like to make....also picked up a couple of things I'll share with ya on the blog. I LOVE Christmas Ornaments and have been getting my children a new one each year...my 5 year old will have his 7th Christmas this year (funny ha?) and my little girl will have her 3rd!

I got one for our new puppy! The other 2 are ones I'd like to make for others...hope I can find some wooden frames like these below so I can paint some for gifts!

I saw these cute coloring book bags that I thought would be PERFECT for Church!

Every year I go to the Craft show they always have this dip that I like but have never made it....so today I made "Savannah Sin" and it's pretty good :) I like the dip the best with Fritos Scoops! Email me and I'll send ya the recipe!

Today we're making some Turkey Place Cards for our Thanksgiving Table! My Grandmother and my parents are going to join us for Thanksgiving at my house this year and I'm even going to COOK! Yep, I think my Grandmother & Moma are going to help a little with the "cooking" part or the dinner might not be very good :)

Countdown to Thanksgiving!

This year we are doing a Thanksgiving Countdown Calendar!
My son is drawing a picture of what he's thankful for each day! (I'm writing the word for him on the bottom)
On Thanksgiving Day he will be able to read all the cards and tell everyone at the table before we pray all the things he's thankful for this month! This photo is my picture of the day for my 365 Scrapbook!
